Neighbourhood Tree Walk

June 11 11:30 am - 12:30 pm

Route: All Nations Church up Charles St. and return via Willow St.

All welcome!

Join this accessible walk for all ages.
Over one hour, we’ll walk a short route – right in our neighbourhood – pausing to observe and discuss various tree species in the streetscape.

Lead by local expert, Peter Duinker, we’ll learn about the opportunities and challenges in managing the Halifax urban forest. Peter is a Professor Emeritus in the School for Resource and Environmental Studies (Dalhousie University), and is founder of the Halifax Tree Project.

This *weather-dependent walk is suitable for all ages and is wheelchair- and stroller-friendly.

*In case of inclement weather, we will postpone.

If urban trees are of special interest,  check out the website

To join in, meet our group at the the Robie Street entrance of All Nations Church at 11:30 am.
