Light in The Darkness: Hope, Love, Joy, and Peace

December 21, 2022 6:00 - 8:00pm  |  All Nations, Charles and Robie

2535 Robie Street, Halifax, NS, Canada

Have you noticed just how dark it is these days? North of the equator, December 21 is the shortest day in our calendar year.

Throughout time, people have been drawn to light. Our shared connection to the seasons and the natural rhythms of shortening days was the inspiration for author Susan Cooper’s poem, The Shortest Day. (Enjoy a video read-aloud of this poem, beautifully illustrated by Carson Ellis, here.)

All ages are invited to slow down, just a bit, and to explore themes of hope, love, joy, and peace, as we make our way to the manger, and Jesus, the light of the world.

Come, pick up a lantern and walk a lighted, quiet path through our little church garden on the longest night of the year.

Dress for the weather in clothes that keep you warm from head to toe! Meet us at the Willow Street garden entrance between 6 and 8 pm.
