Affirmation of New Church Council Leaders

This affirmation vote will now be one of the agenda items at our annual general meeting (AGM), on the evening of February 21.  The AGM and the vote will be online.

 Thank you to everyone who participated in the nomination process by suggesting nominees, considering the call to serve, and/or praying for our church during this process.

• At our Annual General Meeting, we will affirm new officebearers: Jessica S for Elder, and Isaac B and Rob H for Deacon. Council thanks God for these people!

• Terms start in March.

• Many thanks to those who are completing their terms: Sheilagh Henry, Martin Geertsema, Sara Hildebrand, and Geo Roome.

• The ballot is a yes/no secret ballot, for professing members of All Nations (if you’re not sure whether you’re a member, please ask Pastor Dave or an Elder ahead of time).  Each nominee must receive 2/3 ‘yes’ affirmation to be finally selected.

• All professing members of All Nations Church may participate in the affirmation. Professing youth and children may as well, though they must receive parental guidance. Parents, please talk with your children about what officebearers do and how we all can support them with our affirmation, and honour and pray for them all year. Even if children do not participate, the entire church gains from their learning about these roles.
