Volunteer Training Event: Children and Worship helpers and leaders

Every Sunday from early September to mid-June, children aged 4 (or almost 4) to 8 gather in our 2nd-floor worship centre, a space equipped with them in mind.

We sing and pray, share a Bible story and wonder about it together, have some time to choose individual worship activities, and come back to our circle to eat and drink, and share our news.

If you would like to take a regular turn helping this small group of young worshippers, please set aside time to attend our training. This event is for potential volunteers who haven’t committed, as well as for new and returning volunteers.

Our children’s ministries work best when the volunteer commitment is spread between many volunteers. Volunteer helpers in this ministry are never responsible for delivering the programme, and are supported in their work by the worship leader.

Requirements:

• Our room is on the second floor, and accessed by stairs.
• During our Sunday programming , we sit in a circle on the floor, but a chair can be provided.
• All children’s ministry volunteers must have completed a free Child Abuse Registry check. Apply online here. Check results take approximately 2 weeks and are sent directly to the applicant by regular mail.
